Is chest tightness a new coronavirus?

Chest tightness is not necessarily due to novel coronavirus pneumonia. Although chest tightness often occurs with novel coronavirus pneumonia infection, there are many causes of chest tightness, and the more common causes may be related to emotional stress factors, such as anxiety or stress, poor rest at night, etc. Chest tightness can occur. In addition, cardiac insufficiency can also appear chest tightness, but chest tightness is often sitting breathing, which is related to the change of position, aggravated when lying down and reduced when sitting up, and often combined with bilateral lower limb edema and other manifestations of right heart insufficiency. Therefore, the diagnosis of novel coronavirus infection cannot be clearly made by simple chest tightness, and further pulmonary function tests, chest CT tests and routine blood tests are needed to clarify the diagnosis.
