Bloody leucorrhea: Sometimes when vaginitis is strong, it causes the vaginal mucosa to break down and can appear with a little blood in the leucorrhea; in other women, there is blood in the leucorrhea just a few days before and after ovulation, then it may be ovulatory bleeding; if there is just blood in the leucorrhea and there is no odor, then it may be caused by cervical erosion, cervical polyps, endometrial polyps; if there is bloody leucorrhea for a long time with little regularity and even has a foul odor, then you need to be alert to cervical cancer, endometrial cancer and other malignant tumors caused by the uterus.
Here we should remind that postmenopausal women, if there is blood in the leucorrhea, they should consider senile vaginitis, endometritis, and be more careful of endometrial cancer. Therefore, blood in the leucorrhea requires cervical cytology and gynecological ultrasound in addition to routine gynecological examination.
Watery leucorrhea: There may be no regularity, the amount of leucorrhea may be more or less at times, it may be rice water-like or clear mucus-like, some of them have bad odor, which may be caused by some chronic inflammation, such as submucosal fibroids with infection, or long-term chronic infection of fallopian tubes, endometrium or cervical canal.
Leukorrhea is a barometer of women’s health.
