When is the latest time for the fetal heartbeat to appear?

Normally, the fetal heartbeat and fetal bud will appear at 6-8 weeks of pregnancy and no later than 60 days. The time of appearance of the fetal heart and germ is related to the menstrual cycle of the woman. The fetal heart and germ appear earlier in women with short menstrual cycles and later in women with long menstrual cycles. The fetal heartbeat and fetal bud usually do not appear at the same time, and the fetal bud can appear 1-2 weeks earlier than the fetal heartbeat. In general, the fetal heartbeat and fetal buds appear no later than 60 days after pregnancy. If the fetal heartbeat and fetal buds do not appear after 60 days of pregnancy, it should be considered that there is an abnormality in the embryonic development and needs to be treated accordingly under the guidance of a professional doctor. In addition, if no fetal heartbeat or fetal bud is seen in the ultrasound examination at 6-8 weeks, the ultrasound can be repeated in 1-2 weeks. If the embryo development is considered to have stopped, abortion should be taken promptly.
