How long will it take to give birth after the redness and slight stomach pain?

When a pregnant woman experiences redness and slight pain in the abdomen, regular contractions may occur after about 24-48 hours to initiate labor, and in a few cases, labor is initiated within one week. The redness is caused by the rupture of capillaries and a small amount of bleeding due to the detachment of the fetal membranes from the wall of the uterus near the inner cervical opening, and the blood is mixed with the mucus plug in the cervical canal and discharged through the vagina. Redness and slight abdominal pain are reliable signs that labor is about to start, but they are not signs of labor initiation, so pregnant women should not be too worried and anxious. When a pregnant woman has redness and slight abdominal pain, labor will occur within 24-48 hours in most cases, but in a few cases it may take about a week. From the time of labor to the delivery of the baby, it takes about 16 hours for first-time mothers and 8 hours for menstruating mothers. In addition, pregnant women should also pay attention to monitoring the changes of fetal heart during pregnancy, if the pregnant woman’s fetal heart is abnormal or shows cloudy amniotic fluid or too little amniotic fluid, she should be hospitalized in time for delivery.
