HPV 58 positive, if no abnormality is found in cytology, DNA can be turned negative after about two years. HPV58 is a common high-risk type of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions. If HPV58 is found to be positive, cervical cytology should be performed at the same time, and if cytology is negative, regular follow-up can be performed; if cytology indicates atypical squamous cells or cervical intraepithelial lesions, further colposcopic cervical biopsy is needed; if cervical lesions can be excluded, most women with normal immune function can turn negative after two years. HPV58 infection is mainly caused by inducing cellular immunity to clear the virus. Once the body’s own immunity has eliminated HPV58, it generally does not re-infect this type of HPV, but it does not mean that it is cross-immune to other types of HPV as well. In addition, patients can be vaccinated against the most common types of HPV by means of cervical vaccination, but vaccination does not mean that all types of HPV can be prevented, and regular cervical screening is still required.
