Newborn skin care

Newborn babies have delicate skin and a strong metabolism. Bathing can be done every day in summer and once every 2-3 days in winter. The water temperature should be 38-41 degrees Celsius, and special attention should be paid to the skin folds when bathing, using non-irritating cleaning solution or soap. When bathing in winter, pay attention to raise the room temperature to avoid the wind through the hall. After bathing, use a soft towel to absorb and dry, do not wipe vigorously to avoid damaging the skin, and wear soft, absorbent cotton clothing after bathing. Before the umbilical cord falls off, pay attention to waterproofing the umbilicus, keep it clean and dry, and scrub the umbilicus with 75% alcohol daily. If the umbilicus is oozing blood, fluid, secretions, redness, or buds, consult a doctor promptly. Newborns have delicate skin on the buttocks and are prone to red buttocks. Pay attention to changing diapers regularly, keeping the buttocks clean and dry, scrubbing them with warm water after pooping, and using cloth diapers when necessary.
