What are the topical medications for gout

Gout belongs to the category of paralysis in traditional Chinese medicine, and can be applied externally with medicines such as Gentiana Macrophyllae, Rhizoma Gentiana and Siegesbeckia.
1. Gentiana Macrophyllae: It can dispel wind-dampness, clear away dampness and heat, relieve paralyzing pain, and reduce deficiency heat. It is used for rheumatic paralysis, stroke paralysis, contracture of tendons and veins, soreness of bones and joints, damp-heat jaundice, bone vapor and tide fever, and fever in children’s noma. It is contraindicated for people with chronic pain and weakness, excessive ulceration (urination) and slippery stool, and the adverse effects are not clear. Externally, the fresh product appropriate amount, pounded on the affected area.
2. Loxi Vine: It has the effect of dispelling wind and clearing the blood, cooling blood and reducing swelling. Used for rheumatism and heat paralysis, contracture of tendons and veins, lumbar and knee pain, laryngeal paralysis, bruises and injuries. Cold evidence should not be used, adverse reactions are not clear. Externally, the fresh product is used in appropriate quantities, pounded on the affected area.
3. Siegesbeckia: It can dispel wind-dampness, benefit joints and detoxify. It is used for rheumatism and paralysis, weakness of muscles and bones, lumbar and knee pain, paralysis of limbs, paralysis of the paraplegia, rubella and wet sores. It is contraindicated in cases of deficiency of yin and blood, and the adverse effects are not clear. Externally, it can be used as a poultice, powder or decoction for fumigation.
