Do moles grow on the inside of your mouth?

Moles may grow inside the mouth, mostly pigmented nevi. From the histopathological point of view, oral pigmented nevus is mostly intramucosal nevus.
1. Pigmented nevus is occasionally seen in oral mucosa, originating from melanocytes in the basal layer of epidermis or precursor cells of embryonic neurophilia. Oral pigmented nevus can occur in the palate, gums, cheeks and lips, the size of about 0.1-1 cm, slightly higher out of the mucous membrane surface, brown, dark brown or brown-black, to the mucous membrane nevus is common.
2. Therefore, there may be moles inside the mouth, mostly pigmented moles. Pigmented nevi are generally harmless and do not need to be treated, but should be surgically removed if malignant changes are suspected.
If a mole grows inside the mouth and becomes uncomfortable, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for early and regular treatment.
