The sequelae of surgery for ovarian teratoma are actually not many, depending on the size: 1. If it is very large, the first one is the decrease of ovarian reserve, which causes damage to ovarian function. Especially in malignant cases, if both ovaries are removed, menopause will occur earlier; 2. In benign cases, if a single case is removed, even <5cm, complications are rare after removal; 3. Some complications such as infection are common because the female reproductive system is connected to the outside world. Therefore, if there is inflammation in the vagina during the operation, or even in the pelvis at the beginning, infection may occur; 4. Postoperative bleeding may occur. If the suture is small, there will be very little bleeding afterwards. If it is very large, there may be a lot of bleeding during the suture including the surgery, and the patient will become anemic after the surgery.
