Female sexual dysfunction

  Female sexual dysfunction is a disorder in one or several parts of the female sexual response cycle, so that it cannot produce the sexual physiological response and sexual pleasure necessary for satisfactory sexual intercourse, mainly including female sexual desire, sexual arousal, orgasm disorder, and/or painful intercourse. Female sexual dysfunction can have serious adverse effects on female physiology and especially psychology, resulting in guilt, inferiority complex and mental pressure on husband, directly affecting women’s quality of life, family happiness and interpersonal relationships, and in the long run will lead to the breakup of husband and wife relationship and family, seriously threatening women’s reproductive health.  Definition: due to some factors of the female partner, affecting the normal sexual life of the couple, including physiological and pathological reasons. It is called female sexual dysfunction. The above female sexual dysfunctions can be further classified as lifelong or acquired; nonselective or situational; organic, psychological or mixed, and the etiology is multifaceted.  Compared with male sexual dysfunction, the understanding and research of female sexual dysfunction started late and has not been able to attract enough attention, while in fact, the incidence of female sexual dysfunction is high, accounting for 30% to 60% of adult women. Recently the United States an authoritative survey of national health and social life, 1749 adult women with sexual dysfunction of 43%, much higher than the male incidence of 31%, of which 22% of low sexual desire; sexual arousal disorders accounted for 14%; painful intercourse accounted for 7%, and age-related, progressive development; and in the 50 to 74 years of age, 9.7 million women have sexual dysfunction The number of women with sexual dysfunction is 9.7 million, including decreased sexual desire, difficulty in sexual arousal, decreased vaginal slipperiness, pain and discomfort during intercourse or difficulty in reaching orgasm.  Female sexual dysfunction is a complex psychosomatic disorder, treatment should be timely and effective treatment of organic diseases that cause female sexual dysfunction, but also pay attention to the sexual function of the psychosexual treatment, namely psychotherapy and sexual behavior therapy, including auxiliary drugs and equipment treatment.
