What causes contractions at 32 weeks

Contractions occurring at 32 weeks of pregnancy before the expected date of delivery are usually false contractions, due to the sensitivity of the uterine muscles. They are characterized by short duration, weak strength and partly limited to the lower abdomen or groin area. Because the contractions are not regular and are of relatively short duration, they tend to appear after a pregnant woman’s activity and disappear after rest. They may also occur at night and gradually subside when you get up in the morning. False contractions are a common physiological phenomenon in the middle and late stages of pregnancy, and generally do not require special treatment and more rest. However, if the contractions slowly become regular, accompanied by the appearance of stomach tightness, hardness, duration gradually prolonged, and even accompanied by pain in the left lower abdomen, it may be true contractions, mostly due to the pregnant woman’s emotional fluctuations, excessive dilatation of the uterine cavity, intrauterine infections or traumatic injuries, and sexual intercourse, which need to be timely to go to the hospital for treatment, to avoid an adverse pregnancy outcome. Usually, the diet should be light, can not eat cold food, you can drink more warm water, eat more fruits and vegetables, at the same time, pay attention to rest, avoid strenuous activities, avoid lifting heavy objects and engage in heavy physical labor.
