The best time for pregnant women to perm their hair

There is no best time to get a perm, as the chemicals used in perming can affect the fetus through pregnancy and breastfeeding. The process of perming is very tedious and involves first softening the hair with a softener and then fixing the hair with a styling agent. All of these procedures require the use of chemical solutions, which can enter the fetus through the pores of the scalp or breast milk during pregnancy or breastfeeding, thus causing serious harm to the development of the fetus. Therefore, perming during pregnancy may lead to fetal failure or the risk of developmental malformations. Not only is it not recommended to perm hair during pregnancy, some toxic and harmful substances, rays or prohibited drugs should not be touched or taken to avoid affecting the development of the fetus and causing irreversible consequences.
