Pediatric acute mesenteric lymphadenitis often occurs during or after recovery from an acute upper respiratory infection such as a cold, or after an inflammation of the intestinal tract, and may present with symptoms of upper respiratory infection such as fever, cough, sore throat, followed by abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhoea.
Typical symptoms of paediatric acute mesenteric lymphadenitis are low-grade fever, abdominal pain and vomiting, which can be observed for similar symptoms.
