Clinical manifestations of genital warts

  Genital warts, also known as condyloma acuminata or venereal warts, are a type of proliferative genital perianal damage caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV). It occurs mostly in young people between the ages of 18 and 35. The disease is mainly transmitted through sexual contact, but can also be transmitted vertically and indirectly.  The incubation period is 1-8 months, with an average of 3 months, and can be as long as 12 months individually.  There are three types of HPV infection status: 1, genital warts: the clinical appearance of warts visible to the naked eye. According to the morphology of the warts are divided into two types: (1) sessile type: that is, the papule type, the form of flat and no tip. Subclinical lesions may occur in conjunction with typical condyloma acuminatum or may have only subclinical damage. The current belief is that the recurrence of condyloma acuminata is mostly caused by the re-activity of HPV subclinical infection.  3, latent (occult) infection: the clinical appearance of normal, white acetate test negative skin mucosa, can be found through a variety of laboratory tests have HPV infection, which is also one of the main reasons for the recurrence of condyloma acuminata clinical.  Complications of genital warts: ulceration, bleeding, secondary infection, mechanical obstruction (obstruction of the birth canal), malignant transformation.
