Face slimming injections, also known as botulinum toxin bite injections, are a commonly used method for slimming the face. Because of the disadvantages of bite muscle hypertrophy excision surgery such as greater patient pain and more complications, face slimming by injection is widely used. It is characterized by less invasive surgery, quick recovery and good results, but requires multiple injections. The injectable substance for face slimming is botulinum toxin. Many patients are intimidated by it, but it is actually not as scary as its name suggests. Botulinum toxin is a biological product that has a maximum safe dose standard, i.e., the dose above which toxicity occurs, and the current dose used is only one percent of its maximum safe dose, so it is very safe. It was first used for wrinkle removal and only later was its face slimming effect discovered. The procedure involves slow injection at 1-2 points on each side of the bite muscle, with few surgical side effects and an improvement in the shape of the face visible after 1 month. After the surgery, care should be taken not to overuse the bite muscle, and once the recurrence can be reinjected.
