Leukorrhea abnormalities, how to treat?

First of all, what is leukorrhea? In layman’s terms, leucorrhoea is the vaginal secretions, and in professional terms, leucorrhoea includes the secretions of the cervical canal, endometrial glands and the mucosal exudate in the vagina. Normal leucorrhea is white paste or egg white, highly viscous, without fishy odor and in small amounts, and has no adverse effects on a woman’s health. Once the inflammation of the reproductive tract occurs, especially with vaginitis, cervicitis, or cervical cancer, the amount of leucorrhea will increase significantly, and the nature of the leucorrhea will also change significantly, some manifest as yellowish white or foamy leucorrhea, some manifest as curd-like or bean curd-like leucorrhea, and some with fishy odor, or even bloody leucorrhea.

Generally speaking, if the leucorrhoea is yellowish white or foamy, then the first thing to consider is trichomonas vaginalis, and this treatment can be cured by taking metronidazole tablets 2g for both men and women, most of them once. If the leucorrhea is accompanied by fishy odor, it is considered bacterial vaginosis, and the treatment is metronidazole tablets taken twice a day, 2 tablets per meal, for 1 week. If the leucorrhea is rice water-like and has a foul smell, you need to consider tumors such as fallopian tubes.

Therefore, if you have abnormal leucorrhea, you need to go to the hospital in time to have a gynecological examination and routine laboratory tests to make a preliminary diagnosis, and only after a clear diagnosis can you get the right treatment.
