Can fatty grains disappear on their own?

Most smaller, relatively minor fatty grains can disappear on their own.
Fatty grains are mainly due to the patient’s hair follicle sebaceous gland secretion function. The sebaceous glands below the skin tissue of the face are more active and secrete large amounts of sebum, and also metabolic products of the skin tissue, which collect at the root of the hair follicle or at the sebaceous ducts, causing a sludge and creating a rice-grain like appearance.
If the sebaceous glands become less active, the original formation of fatty grains will fall off on its own as the skin metabolises. However, for more severe cases of fatty grains, which are unlikely to disappear on their own, they can be removed using needle picking or lasers.
