Local rinsing: saline, hydrogen peroxide, chlorhexidine solution can be used for repeated local rinsing. 2. Systemic medication: Metronidazole and cephalosporin antibiotics can be used orally or intravenously to fight infection; ibuprofen and other anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs can be used in the acute stage of pain. 3. Incision and drainage: If abscess has been formed, local incision and drainage can be made and drainage strips can be placed. 4. Extraction: After the inflammation subsides, the wisdom teeth can be extracted. Wisdom tooth pericoronitis requires timely medical treatment and the use of medications as prescribed by the doctor.
