Wound management of snakebite needs to be decided in the light of the species of snake and the local wound condition. Micro-incision of “one” or “ten” is commonly used, and deep and large incisions are not recommended. Non-venomous snake bites usually do not require incision. For venomous snake bites, incision is not recommended for bites from blood-circulating venomous snakes (vipers, cobras, five-paced snakes, etc.), while the rest of the bites should be incised after wound debridement. Usually, the wound and the surrounding skin should be flushed first, and then make a cross incision centered on the teeth marks, deep to the subcutaneous, and then repeatedly squeeze from the distal end to the direction of the wound to induce venom discharge, while squeezing and flushing lasts for more than 20 minutes, and the limb is placed in a low position to reduce the absorption of venom. Snake bite, if not clear with or without venom, should be in accordance with the venomous snake bite treatment, go to the hospital as soon as possible to rescue, the bitten person should keep quiet, do not strenuous activities, wound treatment needs to be handled by professional first aiders, do not handle by yourself, so as not to increase the chance of tissue necrosis and infection.
