Hemopneumothorax should be treated with medication, invasive treatment and surgery according to the actual condition of the individual.
1. Pharmacological treatment: patients can use antibiotic drugs such as cefoperazone and cefazolin sodium in combined lung infection; digoxin should be considered when heart failure occurs; glucose injection should be used to replenish fluids intravenously in case of large amount of bleeding; desmopressin should be used for bleeding to stop hemorrhage.
2. Invasive treatment: Thoracentesis and closed chest drainage are invasive treatments for hemopneumothorax. Thoracentesis can be chosen if the bleeding is less than 500 milliliters.
3. Surgical treatment: Surgical treatment modalities that can be used to treat hemopneumothorax include open-heart surgery and television-assisted thoracoscopic surgery.
Patients with hemopneumothorax should go to the hospital for treatment as soon as possible to avoid delay.
