How to stay away from allergens

No matter what kind of allergic disease you have, the key to treatment is prevention. Once you are diagnosed with an allergic disease, you should go to an allergic disease control center or the allergy and immunology department of a hospital to find out the allergens, avoid contact with things that will make you allergic, and take targeted prevention. For patients with pollen allergy, you should try to avoid going to pollen-rich places such as parks during the pollen dispersal season, reduce outdoor activities, and try to schedule outdoor activities in the morning and other times when there is less pollen. If you are allergic to dust mites (a small insect that grows in beds and indoor dust), you should do more outdoor activities, regularly clean your bedroom and ventilate it daily, iron and wash bedspreads, sheets, covers and pillowcases at least once in 2 weeks, repeatedly pat the bedding that is difficult to wash after exposure to the sun, and use a powerful deep vacuum cleaner to deal with the bedding if possible or renew the bedding once every 3-5 years. Should try to sweep the indoor dust clean, especially the bedroom do not lay carpets, avoid contact with plush products, pet fur, blankets and other items prone to dust accumulation. If possible, cover the mattress with an anti-dust mite bed cover. To prevent allergic asthma or rhinitis induced by respiratory viral infections, children with a history of allergies should be careful to avoid public places in spring. If you are allergic to dogs and cats, stay away from them, or at least bathe them often and keep them out of your bedroom. If you are allergic to common medications such as penicillin, wear a medication warning sign with you. If you are allergic to mold, try to keep your house clean, dry and ventilated, especially the bathroom, refrigerator drip tray, basement and cabinets. If you are allergic to food, make it a habit to read food ingredients, especially before eating out, and ask about the ingredients in your meals. Combining effective anti-allergy medication and Chinese herbal medicine treatment with prevention can achieve good results and allow you to enjoy modern life with ease and pleasure. Desensitization therapy, also known as hyposensitization therapy, is the injection of allergen preparations in higher doses in vivo or sublingual administration one by one, so that or the patient’s own specific production of antibodies against the allergen, so as to achieve the purpose of desensitization, is currently the only method of treatment for the cause of allergic diseases, this treatment method has recently been recognized by the World Health Organization and officially named allergen vaccine therapy. Since the desensitization treatment uses biological agents with few side effects, it can be used even in pregnant women. To avoid possible allergic reactions, treatment should be given at a regular allergic disease center or specialist, usually twice a week for at least 3 years.
