Can microvascular decompression be performed in the elderly?

Is there evidence or bias that older adults with trigeminal neuralgia who have become resistant to medications cannot undergo microvascular decompression? 476 people were divided into two groups: 117 in group 1 approximately 65 years old and 359 in group 2 less than 65 years old. CONCLUSION: There were no deaths and no significant differences in dangerous complications of the procedure between the two groups. Microvascular decompression is a less dangerous procedure for people older than 65 years.
