In milder or stable cases, patients may be seen in orthopaedics and haematology.
If accompanied by infection causing systemic symptoms such as high fever, they may be seen in an infection unit.
If accompanied by severe trauma, high fever and confusion caused by serious infection, they should go to the emergency department or call the 120 emergency number.
