What’s wrong with dizziness and feeling like things are spinning?

The patient’s dizziness and feeling of seeing things spinning are symptoms of vertigo. There are many diseases that cause vertigo, mainly benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, acute inner ear vaginitis, and severe otitis media. Inadequate blood supply to the vertebrobasilar artery, cerebral ischemia or infarction in the cerebellum or brainstem can cause severe dizziness and visual rotation when looking at things. If the patient has symptoms of tinnitus and stuffy ears, it is also considered to be caused by peripheral vertigo diseases, such as Meniere’s disease. Therefore, the patient’s dizziness and seeing things in rotation must be clarified by combining the onset trigger, duration and whether the patient has nystagmus on physical examination.
