“Premature ovarian failure does not lead to white pubic hair. There are two main categories of clinical manifestations of premature ovarian failure.
The first category is abnormal menstruation. Amenorrhoea is the main clinical manifestation of premature ovarian failure, about 50% of patients will have sporadic menstruation or irregular uterine bleeding before amenorrhoea, and 25% of patients will have sudden amenorrhoea; the second category is the manifestation of oestrogen deficiency. Due to the decline of ovarian function, patients may experience vasodilation symptoms such as hot flushes and excessive sweating, neuropsychiatric symptoms such as depression, anxiety and insomnia this, vulvar itching, vaginal dryness, vaginal burning sensation and genitourinary tract symptoms such as painful urination and painful intercourse.
If the whitening of pubic hair is accompanied by other skin symptoms, or if the pubic hair turns white at a young age you need to seek medical attention from a dermatologist to identify the cause as soon as possible.”
