Surgery is recommended for abdominal aortic aneurysm 10 cm. Surgical options include open repair, endoluminal repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm. 1. For abdominal aortic aneurysm, aneurysm repair surgery is considered in the following cases: (1) The diameter of the aneurysm is >5cm, or although the diameter is <5cm, the aneurysm is asymmetric and prone to rupture. (2) Those with pain, especially sudden severe abdominal pain. (3) Those whose tumor compresses the urinary tract, gastrointestinal tract causing obstruction or other manifestations. (4) Those who cause distal arterial embolism. (5) Complicated infection. (6) Rupture of tumor, or formation of internal fistula with inferior vena cava or intestinal canal. 2. Surgical approach: (1) For patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms, open repair is required unless there are contraindications such as abdominal comorbidities, anesthetic risks, or other medical comorbidities. (2) Consider preferred endoluminal repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms for those with abdominal comorbidities such as horseshoe kidneys, fistulas, and other lesions that require attention and discussion with the patient. (3) Open surgical repair of abdominal aortic aneurysms is contraindicated if there are anesthetic risks or comorbidities, and endoluminal abdominal aortic aneurysm repair or conservative treatment may be considered. Abdominal aortic aneurysm has the risk of rupture and bleeding, and should be treated as soon as possible on the advice of a physician.
