What’s wrong with spitting out blood from the throat?

Patients who have sputum in the throat and spit out blood are often associated with acute and chronic inflammatory factors in the mucous membrane of the throat. It may also lead to mild erosion, rupture and small amount of blood oozing from the local mucous membrane and submucous vessels, thus causing the occurrence of small amount of blood in the sputum. Some patients may also develop abnormal growths in the throat or backflow of bloody secretions from the nasal tract into the throat. If necessary, a careful and thorough examination of the entire respiratory tract is required.
