What is the unexplainable pain in the stomach?

Indescribable stomach discomfort, i.e. abdominal discomfort with indescribable symptoms, needs to be considered a gastrointestinal dysfunctional disease, where the patient may have long-term chronic indigestion or irritable bowel syndrome. Many organic diseases are not obvious in their early stages, and may only manifest as vague discomfort, and the symptoms are often atypical in the elderly. The indescribable stomach discomfort may also be caused by gastroenteritis, which is often triggered by improper diet, especially in hot weather when food is prone to deterioration and bacterial growth. Some patients with heart attack also show abdominal discomfort when they have an attack. Therefore, relevant examinations, such as gastroscopy and colonoscopy, as well as some laboratory tests, are needed to clarify the diagnosis. Patients should actively seek medical treatment, and it is recommended to first go to the Department of Gastroenterology for relevant examinations and follow the doctor’s advice to arrange examination items, such as abdominal ultrasound, gastroscopy and enteroscopy. Only after excluding organic lesions can the diagnosis of functional disease be clarified.
