What should I do if I have a dog bite?

If inadvertently bitten by a dog, the wound should be quickly cleaned and disinfected within a few minutes after the bite: first rinse fully with 3%-5% soapy water or water, and if the wound is deep, a syringe must be inserted into the wound for infusion cleaning to remove all dog saliva as much as possible. After rinsing, disinfect with alcohol and then scrub the wound with iodine. Wound treatment should be done as soon as possible, even if it is 1-2 days late, or even 3-4 days, do not neglect the treatment of the wound, at this time, if the wound has already crusted, also remove the crust and treat it as above. Remember that the wound should not be bandaged or sutured, and should be exposed as much as possible. If the wound must be bandaged and sutured (e.g., bleeding excessively), ensure that it has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and injected with anti-rabies serum. In the case of bites to the head, neck, fingers, or severe bites, anti-rabies serum or rabies immunoglobulin is also required around and at the base of the wound.
