How to treat pseudomyopia

Pseudomyopia is a myopic phenomenon that occurs when the ciliary muscle spasms due to incorrect eye use, resulting in over-adjustment, a more convex lens, and an increase in refractive power. Because the substance is not really myopia, the course of the disease is also reversible, pseudomyopia treatment methods are as follows: the use of atropine can release the ciliary muscle spasm, the effect of treatment will be more significant, but the disadvantage is that the pupil is dilated and lead to blurred vision, which will affect the normal study and life. You can also use a short-acting ciliary muscle antispasmodic agent, such as tropicamide eye drops, and order one drop every night before going to bed. The dilated pupil will last for about 6 hours during nighttime sleep, and the pupil will be basically normal in the early morning. Generally speaking, there is no adverse effect on study and life, and the treatment is neither troublesome nor expensive, so it is worth applying. However, care must be taken that patients with glaucoma, especially those with closed-angle glaucoma, are prohibited. Lastly, some herbs, physiotherapy and acupuncture are also useful for pseudomyopia. If you have pseudomyopia, you should change your bad eye habits, don’t read at close range or work at close range for very long hours, these habits can easily lead to pseudomyopia.
