How to stay away from red-eye

Red eye is the common name for “acute infectious conjunctivitis”, also known as “fire eye” or “red eye”, which is a general term for acute epidemic bacterial or viral conjunctivitis with bloodshot eyes, congested conjunctiva (or bleeding) and increased secretions. It is the collective name for acute epidemic bacterial or viral conjunctivitis. Red eye can occur throughout the year and is more common in the spring and summer months. People are generally susceptible to various types of pink eye, and those who have had pink eye can also contract it again. Usually people suffering from red-eye, if not promptly isolated, treated and prevented, the whole family will be infected within a day or two, and even cause an epidemic in kindergartens and schools within a short period of time. Some people think that if you look at a red-eye patient, you will get red-eye, which is not scientifically justified. Studies have concluded that the disease can only be contracted through direct or indirect contact. To prevent pink eye, you must do the following: 1. Maintain good personal hygiene and wash your hands thoroughly before and after touching your eyes. It is best not to touch your eyes with your hands. 2. Do not share towels or personal hygiene products with others, and wash your face and hands with running water. Do not touch the patient’s used washing utensils, handkerchiefs and medical instruments used for treatment. 3.Do not wipe your face with the towels provided by the restaurant to avoid contracting pink eye due to incomplete disinfection of the towels. 4. Do not share eye medications, eye cosmetics and other medications or supplies that may come in contact with the eyes. Do not use group eye drops to prevent eye disease. 5, red-eye patients should be properly isolated, do not return to kindergartens, schools or workplaces until cured, avoid public places such as cabarets, hotels and shopping malls, and swimming in public pools is strictly prohibited. 6, in the epidemic period, public taps, elevator handrails, door handles, telephones, utensils, toys, etc. should pay attention to disinfection. Wash your hands after touching the computer keyboard, and avoid rubbing your eyes and face, especially those who use public keyboards. 7, in the epidemic period, to minimize the crowded public places, before and after swimming, it is best to take one or two drops of antibacterial or antiviral eye drops.
