Motion sickness, also called motion sickness, is caused by an imbalance in the balance mechanism of the patient’s inner ear, which in turn leads to symptoms such as vertigo, mental depression and vomiting. Eating acidic foods, such as prunes, during motion sickness can effectively improve the patient’s feeling of nausea and desire to vomit. Acidic foods can help patients secrete saliva and assist in digesting food inside the gastrointestinal tract, thus reducing the discomfort of motion sickness. In addition to prunes, more acidic fruits such as tomatoes, lemons, strawberries, umeboshi and pineapples can be consumed to alleviate the adverse stomach reactions. It is also recommended to carry fresh ginger slices with you, which can be placed under the nose or contained inside the mouth after cutting the ginger into small pieces to distract the patient and help relieve motion sickness symptoms. If you suffer from motion sickness, you can take anti-motion sickness medication orally before getting on the bus. In addition, it is best not to go to the car on an empty stomach or eat too much, sit in front of the car to reduce excessive shaking, and wear headphones to listen to music, which can reduce vestibular sensitivity. It is recommended to exercise vestibular function and perform conscious vestibular rehabilitation in general.
