Sudden death is a clinical manifestation of a variety of diseases that can lead to sudden death. Sudden death can be divided into cardiac and non-cardiac sudden death, with cardiac sudden death accounting for the majority of sudden deaths. The non-cardiogenic sudden death, including sudden death caused by factors other than organic heart diseases and malignant arrhythmias, are called non-cardiogenic sudden death, including drug poisoning, food poisoning, chemical poisoning, allergic mental stress, water-electrolyte metabolic disorders, severe infections, multi-organ failure, and other sudden deaths of unknown origin, are called non-cardiogenic sudden death.
