Treatment of enuresis Enuresis is a chronic disease, and before treatment, it is emphasized that a complete and accurate diagnosis must be made, on the basis of which an individualized treatment plan is formulated to ensure that the treatment plan is effective. We insist on comprehensive treatment measures, i.e. medication, psychological guidance, behavior correction, reasonable water intake and scientific diet. Non-pharmacological treatment, behavioral therapy: the theoretical basis of behavioral therapy, derived from the doctrine of psychological regulation, the doctrine of functional inertia of the human body, the doctrine of conditioned reflexes. The aim is to train the brain’s ability to control the bladder and urethra, including bladder capacity training method, urination training method, and overlearning method, in order to expand the capacity of the bladder and establish the conditioned reflex of urination. Setting a schedule From day 1 of treatment, parents are asked to set a schedule for the child to keep a daily record (a calendar can be used). When bedwetting occurs, try to find factors that can cause bedwetting and record them on the schedule, such as not sleeping on time, being too excited before bedtime, being too excited during the day, too much fluid intake in the evening, etc. When the child is bedwetting-free, 1 star is drawn on the schedule and verbal praise or material reward is given. Meet with the physician once a week. Establishment of conditioned reflex: From the beginning of treatment, parents were asked to wake the child up in time with an alarm clock half to one hour before the time when bedwetting often occurs at night, and get up to urinate (encourage the child to go to the toilet to urinate by himself), so that the ringing and bladder filling occur at the same time to establish a conditioned reflex. Later, gradually extend the sleep time and delay the ringing time until bedwetting is reduced or even disappears. Urinary behavior training should be consistent and uninterrupted, otherwise the previous work will be lost. Bladder function exercise (voluntary urinary function training): Meals to promote the child to drink more water during the day, try to extend the interval between urination, to promote the increase in urine volume, so that the bladder capacity gradually increased, encourage the child to interrupt urination in the middle of urination, count 1 to 10, and then urinate, in order to improve the control ability of the bladder sphincter. Chinese medicine treatment: It must be differentiated from deficiency to reality, and there are two kinds of internal and external use. There are more than 20 kinds of drugs with good efficacy available, such as Weigel capsule, Stop urination capsule, Shrinking spring pill (capsule), Nocturia pill, Liu Wei Di Huang Wan, Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan, Jin Kui Kidney Qi Wan, Tonic Zhong Yi Qi Wan, Cuscuta seed powder, Sang Guan Tang Wan, Wu Zi Yan Zong Wan, Si Shen Wan, Gentian Diarrhea Liver Wan, and urinary retention patch. Although all of the above drugs can treat enuresis, each drug has certain indications and one or several drugs must be selected for combination according to the cause of each patient’s disease.
