Is the treatment the same for congenital myopia and high myopia caused by acquired environment?

Patient: Medical condition: High myopia, amblyopia Boy, 4.5 years old. 800 degrees of myopia was discovered at age 3. Several doctors said he was born with myopia. However, my father is not myopic and my mother (me) is 250 degrees myopic, so I don’t think it is very likely to be hereditary. I remember that he was put into the incubator at birth, and he was exposed to jaundice, so could the jaundice be the cause? Another possibility is that he slept under the light after coming home. I have glasses and amblyopia treatment, and now myopia is 900 degrees, and my vision has improved from 0.2 to 0.6. Can you tell me if it is possible that my son’s jaundice was caused by accidentally scratching off his eye patch when he was born in the incubator? 2. Is the treatment the same for congenital myopia and high myopia caused by the environment? 3. What will happen to my son’s eyes in the future if the high myopia is caused by the bright light I just mentioned? (Please ask the doctor to answer !!!!!) Refractive Eye Center: The cause of myopia is not yet known, but may be due to genetics or environment. In your child’s case, 800 degrees of myopia was found at the age of 3. The cause of pathological myopia is not yet known, and it is not related to the blue light exposure you mentioned at birth. If other diseases can be ruled out, the treatment of both congenital myopia and acquired environmental causes of high myopia is the same, dealing with amblyopia first, while preventing the deepening of myopia, but the possibility of pathological myopia deepening is high, and regular eye examinations are needed to prevent the occurrence of high myopia complications.
