What causes chapped eczema?

The cause of chancroid eczema is not known and its pathogenesis is complex, often due to multiple factors.
Current research suggests that the main causes of the condition are internal and external. The more common external causes include cold weather irritation, exposure to physical or chemical substances, and excessive scratching and rubbing of the foot area. Internal causes include allergies, genetic factors, endocrine changes, and changes in autoimmune function.
All of these causes can lead to the development of chapped eczema.
