Elderly patients recovering from stroke are prone to femoral neck fractures, and the relatively low blood supply to the femoral neck makes the fracture healing process very slow, usually taking 2-3 months. Therefore, we recommend that all patients who are physically able to tolerate surgery should be treated surgically. The skin incision is only 6-8 cm, and the overall impact of the surgery on the patient is relatively small. After the surgery, the patient is able to start functional exercises early, and 2-3 days after the surgery, the patient is able to get out of bed and resume normal life, avoiding the risks associated with long-term bed rest. Post-operative rehabilitation training for hemiplegic patients is very important, and a set of “step-by-step training method” has been summarized in our long-term work, and its effectiveness has been verified in the daily life of hemiplegic patients. After the surgery, all the hemiplegic patients recovered satisfactorily, not only can they take care of themselves, but some of them can recover even better than their pre-injury state.
