Chest pain in women may be caused by physiological factors, such as menstruation or strenuous exercise, etc. Excluding physiological factors, we need to consider breast disease, lung disease, heart disease, periprosthetic disease, and skin disease. 1. Physiological factors: (1) Menstruation: After entering the menstruation period, there are changes in hormone levels in the body, which can lead to breast enlargement and occasionally cause chest pain, often manifested as swelling and pain in the breast area. (2) strenuous exercise: after strenuous exercise, the anaerobic fermentation of tissue cells increases, causing lactic acid accumulation and chest pain. 2. Pathologic factors: (1) Breast diseases: including breast hyperplasia, mastitis, mammary fibroadenoma and breast cancer, etc., which will cause stimulation to the surrounding tissues and cause chest pain and discomfort. (2) Lung diseases: such as pneumonia, pleurisy, etc. will stimulate the pleura and cause corresponding symptoms. (3) Heart diseases: mainly include coronary heart disease, aortic dissection, etc., which will cause insufficient blood supply to the heart muscle and cause chest pain and discomfort. (4) Periprosthetic diseases: such as osteochondritis dissecans or intercostal neuralgia, which can also cause localized pain and discomfort. (5) Skin diseases: the most common cause of pain is shingles, which can cause significant localized pain. Women who have chest pain that does not get better need to seek medical attention to confirm the diagnosis of the condition and then do standardized treatment.
