Can gastritis cause chest and back pain?

Gastritis can cause chest pain and back pain, which may be caused by physiological reasons such as involving pain, or by pathological reasons such as bleeding and perforation of the gastric mucosa caused by gastritis.
1. Physiological reasons: gastritis patients’ gastric mucosa has congestion, edema and other pathological changes, which can cause stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, gastric distension and other symptoms, and stomach pain can cause neurological pain in the chest, back and other parts of the body, which is a physiological phenomenon.
2. Pathological reasons: when the condition of gastritis patients is serious, the gastric mucosa may appear erosion, bleeding or even perforation and other pathological changes on the basis of inflammation, and the exuded blood may stimulate the mural pleura, causing pain in the chest and back outside the mural pleura.
Perforation leads to outflow of gastric content, which can cause limited or diffuse pleurisy, vomiting blood, black stools, fever, etc., resulting in symptoms such as chest pain, back pain, and accelerated heart rate.
Gastritis patients with chest pain and back pain are advised to seek timely medical attention for a clear diagnosis and targeted treatment under the guidance of a doctor.
