What to do if you have leukorrhea

Leukorrhea is a normal secretion from the female vagina, and it is a normal physiological phenomenon to have leukorrhea. Do not be alarmed by the appearance of leucorrhea, observe the color, texture and smell of leucorrhea, and only if there is an abnormality, do you need treatment.

The normal leucorrhea is white paste or egg white, sticky, without fishy odor, small amount, called physiological leucorrhea. The amount of secretion and texture of the leucorrhea is influenced by the level of estrogen and progesterone in the body, with the menstrual cycle and there is a cyclical change in the amount of less, thin and thick quality. After menstruation, the amount of leucorrhea is small; during ovulation, due to the vigorous secretion of cervical glands, the leucorrhea increases, transparent, slightly sticky, egg-white like filament; 2 to 3 days after ovulation, the estrogen level in the body begins to decline, the leucorrhea becomes cloudy, thick and sticky and the amount is small. Before and after menstruation, leucorrhea often increases due to pelvic congestion and increased vaginal mucosal exudate. In addition, when pregnancy and oral contraceptives are taken, leucorrhea may also increase, and the reason for this is also related to the changes in estrogen and progesterone levels in the body. Therefore, to observe whether the leucorrhea is normal or not, we have to look at the quantity, color, quality and taste of the leucorrhea. If there is abnormal leucorrhea, such as yellow-green leucorrhea, tofu-like leucorrhea, thin foamy leucorrhea, you need to go to the hospital to check the routine leucorrhea to see if there is vaginitis, and then give symptomatic treatment.

Therefore, if you have abnormal leucorrhea, you should consult a doctor in time to prevent vaginal inflammation, which can cause other diseases.
