Things to prepare before telephone consultation

Providing a way for patients and doctors to communicate and consult by phone makes it a great way to recover with the help of doctors when patients cannot come to the hospital in person. The telephone consultation is a great convenience to the traditional face-to-face consultation, but the inability to meet face-to-face also makes the diagnosis and treatment have certain limitations and errors, which affects the patient’s recovery. A few days ago I found some problems in the telephone consultation that may have an impact on the diagnosis and treatment when I received a patient consultation are summarized below, and some solutions to try for reference. Question 1: Time constraints are not conducive to a full understanding of the condition. A: After preliminary communication through online before the telephone consultation and providing basic information, then provide the patient with disease-related information as requested by the consulting doctor. During the consultation process to further understand the situation, the consultation process does not provide specific treatment prescriptions, after the end of the consultation, according to the relevant information analysis, after giving treatment recommendations. This saves valuable consultation time. Question 2: Chinese medicine can only use one quarter of the four diagnoses of looking, smelling, asking and cutting, and can only solve the problem with smelling and asking. If considering the limited time, the patient’s ability to express and the family members introduce the condition instead, only questions are left to solve the problem. A: Through the preparation before consultation, provide the necessary information to the consulting doctor, as far as possible by the patient personally talk, if possible to provide the patient’s recent full-truth, half body, tongue diagnosis photos are more favorable diagnosis and treatment, at least should provide the tongue photos, so that tongue diagnosis. Question 3, the patient’s recovery is related to the patient’s condition, the level of the doctor, and also has an important relationship with the quality of drugs, especially Chinese medicine. While the quality of medicine cannot be fully guaranteed if the patient, after telephone consultation, either picks up the medicine at a large local hospital, or at a small hospital, or at a street pharmacy. A: It is recommended that the first choice is to pick up the medicine at the hospital where the consulting doctor is located, followed by large hospitals, small hospitals and pharmacies.
