  Long-term outcomes of microvascular decompression for trigeminal neuralgia From 1982-2005 372 people were contacted on 319 completed questionnaires followed up 266 people.  RESULTS: 71% of those with complete pain relief at 10 years, 84% of those satisfied with the outcome of the procedure, and no deaths.  CONCLUSION: Age etc. had no effect on prognosis.
