Speech therapy for children with voice disorders should achieve the following objectives: 1. Teach the child to produce the correct sounds and airflow from the mouth, i.e., learn how to control the palatopharyngeal structures to make the sounds and airflow come out of the mouth. 2.To coordinate the movement of the muscles of the palatopharynx with those of the other articulatory structures of the mouth. 3.Teach the patient to correctly produce vowels and consonants produced in different positions. 4.To use the newly learned sounds correctly in conversation and correct bad pronunciation habits so that correct pronunciation becomes a habit.
