There are many causes of fundus hemorrhage, and treatment must be categorized to see what type of fundus hemorrhage is caused, like diabetic retinopathy and hypertension-induced fundus, called retinal vein obstruction, which are ischemic lesions to be treated with fundus laser. The purpose of treatment is to reduce retinal oxygen consumption and protect useful visual function with good results. If the patient misses the best time for laser treatment, the result will not be good when the surgery is finally performed. Therefore, it is advocated that when laser treatment is needed, patients should undergo laser treatment as early as possible with good results. Especially for diseases like retinal fissure, early fundus laser treatment is necessary to avoid retinal detachment, even if the patient is the same as when healthy after laser treatment. There are many causes of fundus bleeding, such as fundus bleeding due to diabetes and fundus bleeding due to hypertension. There may be retinal aneurysms in the fundus that can also cause hemorrhage. Patients with retinal perivasculitis can also develop fundus hemorrhage, and a few conditions like capillary dilation and Coats disease can also cause fundus hemorrhage. Therefore, patients should be screened for which type of hemorrhage is present before treatment and laser treatment should be performed accordingly. The laser performed will also be targeted. Diabetic patients with severe retinopathy will undergo total retinal photocoagulation and may have to undergo four laser treatments. Patients with venous obstruction may do quadrant of the lesion area appearing photocoagulation, patients with retinal fissures only laser treatment around the fissure, patients with large retinal aneurysms may only perform local laser of the aneurysm, and patients with mesoplasm may be able to achieve the effect of laser treatment as long as the leakage point is sealed. Therefore, if the patient’s disease is overall to the point that laser treatment should be performed, effective laser treatment can be very effective in protecting visual function.
