Correction of infantile strabismus

The two main methods of correcting infantile strabismus are conservative treatment and surgery. 1. Conservative treatment: for some mild symptoms and conservative treatment is effective. (1) Side sleeping: For infants with less obvious strabismus, you can choose to let the infant sleep on his/her side so that the muscles on both sides of the neck can be balanced, thus achieving the purpose of correction. (2) Hot compress massage: Apply hot compress with warm towel or gently massage to promote blood circulation in the neck and relieve the condition of strabismus. (2) Surgery: When the condition of strabismus is more serious and conservative treatment fails, surgery can be used to cut off the sternocleidomastoid muscle and fix it with cervical brace or plaster after surgery, which is most effective when completed before the age of six to seven. If you find that your baby has a strabismus, you should consult a doctor in time for early correction.
