What do warts look like?

Warts may appear as scattered or clustered growths of small pink or white papillary warts, or as corns, cauliflowers, or mulberry-shaped growths. Warts are caused by infection with the human papilloma virus. Multiple sexual partners and low immunity are triggering factors for the disease. Warts are usually found on the genitals and the skin around the anus. At the beginning, the lesions may appear as scattered or clustered proliferation of small pink or white papillary warts, which are usually soft in texture and slightly sharp at the tip. With the progress of the disease, the skin lesions will gradually increase, enlarge, can be crown-shaped, cauliflower-shaped or mulberry-shaped, the surface may have vesicles, oozing, broken, bleeding and so on. If the warts are in the perianal area, the patient may experience anal pain, a sense of urgency and heaviness, etc. If the warts grow in the vaginal or penile area, they may be manifested as abnormal secretions.
