Brushing is the most effective way to keep the mouth clean. Mastering the correct brushing method and using a reasonable toothbrush can remove plaque, soft tartar, food debris, some pigments and prevent the accumulation of tartar, and also play the role of massage on the gums to make the teeth periodontal tissue healthy. (1) Vertical brushing method, also known as smooth brushing method. It is to place the tip of the toothbrush hair bundle at the junction of the gum and the crown, with the long axis of the teeth (direction) slightly pressed (massage the gums), brush the upper teeth downward, brush the lower teeth upward, brush the inner, outer and biting surfaces of the teeth, especially pay attention to brush the inner surface of the teeth and the last teeth. This is something that people tend to overlook when brushing their teeth. (2) Horizontal chattering brushing method. The method of brushing teeth with a soft-bristled toothbrush. When brushing the labial, buccal and lingual surfaces (the inner and outer sides of the teeth), the bristles are at a 45° angle to the tooth surface, with the bristle head pointing in the direction of the gums, so that the bristles enter the gingival sulcus and the gaps between the two adjacent teeth. Press some of the bristles against the gingival margin for a few short horizontal tremors in a backward and forward direction. Apply light to moderate pressure slightly toward the root of the tooth, and brush 2~3 teeth per part. When brushing the coaptation surface, press the bristles vertically on the coaptation surface and make the end of the bristles go deeper into the fissure area for a few short backward and forward tremors or press firmly on the coaptation surface for a rotary movement. The correct brushing action is no more than vertical brushing and horizontal chattering, as long as the appropriate training, these two brushing methods can receive better results.
