What is tinea corporis and how should I prevent it?

Tinea corporis, which is named differently depending on the location of its onset, occurs most often in summer and autumn, and people who are obese and sweaty, diabetic, chronically wasting diseases, and those who apply glucocorticoids or immunosuppressive drugs for a long time are susceptible. Tinea corporis causes and clinical manifestations: Since the fungus invades the epidermis and generally only parasitizes the stratum corneum, it only causes a mild inflammatory reaction locally, starting as a red papule or small blister, followed by the formation of scales, and then gradually expanding around into a ring-shaped damage with clear borders, with papules and blisters often visible at the edges and no exudate on the surface. The edges are often visible as papules and blisters, and the surface is usually free of exudate. The edges are mobile and expand continuously, while the center tends to fade away, hence the name ringworm or ringworm. In some cases, ring-shaped lesions can be followed by ring-shaped papules, blisters, and scales, followed by concentric ring-shaped damage, accompanied by varying degrees of itching. What are the distinctive features of tinea cruris that distinguish it from ringworm? The main symptom of tinea cruris is the appearance of many dark blisters on the skin of the inner thighs, which will expand and spread and itch more severely. In summer, when the climate is hot and humid, the body sweats a lot, especially inside the femur, and if you do not bathe in time or wear tight underwear a lot of sweat does not evaporate in time, you are prone to get this disease. What is the necessary prevention and treatment in the face of ringworm? First, pay attention to personal hygiene. Wash your hands regularly according to the “6-step hand-washing method” to prevent the spread of fungus due to scratching; second, do not mix clothes and socks together. In summer, clothes are worn close to the body, and if you have foot odor, socks and clothes are mixed together to prevent the spread of fungus; Third, friends do not mix shoes and socks and mix combs, towels and other things. This can easily lead to the spread of fungus unintentionally. Once you have ringworm, you should go to the hospital immediately for antifungal medication. Also, disinfect the living environment, beds, shoes and socks, towels and even combs.
