Dust mites are the most important allergens

Among the inhalant allergens, dust mites are one of the most widely distributed allergens in the world. Their individuals are tiny and require the use of a microscope to see. Dust mites are suited to live in warm, humid environments and grow in the spring and fall. Dust mites are mainly found in bedrooms, especially in mattresses, sofas, carpets, clothing and air conditioning filters. 80% of asthma, rhinitis and dermatitis are associated with dust mites and are a serious health hazard, especially in children. Other common allergens include pollen, fungi, insects, latex, animal fur and saliva, and foods such as seafood, eggs and milk. Patients with confirmed dust mite allergy should undergo standardized desensitization treatment as early as possible to achieve satisfactory results.
