Most of the seizures are focal and begin in the face and mouth, such as foaming at the mouth, twitching at the corners of the mouth, and consciousness but not voluntary vocalization. The foaming at the mouth can also be caused by the accidental ingestion of organophosphorus pesticides and insecticides in children.
